Abstract (EN)
Rapid increase of consumers and areas of consumption of electricity needs precise planning on all processes of energy systems. Determination of configuration and voltage levels is an important subject in electricity distribution system planning. At this stage, wrong preferences cause high-budget renovation, expansion and conversion investments, significant increase on unit cost, also negative impact on power supply quality. During the system planning process, evaluation of initial investment costs is not sufficient, also power losses, rising demand and the expansion of distribution area must be considered. In Turkey, the distribution system has been established in several configurations due to the technological inadequacies and defective technical preferences. In recent years, even with the standardized voltage levels, the system is not totally consistent. In this thesis, the advantages of the upper-level single-stage system conversion discussed on a sample distribution area with the sample configurations and optimum voltage levels.
