Abstract (EN)

This study examines the activities of a religious community known as Süleymancılık (Suleymancilik) in Kazakhstan. Süleymancılık is a unique religious movement that does not resemble traditional Sufi orders, and it has spread from Turkey to Kazakhstan. The study aims to understand Süleymancılık by delving into its origins, history, entry into Kazakhstan, and activities in detail. Since the 1990s, Süleymancılık has rapidly expanded in Kazakhstan following the country's independence. Süleymancılar have filled a significant educational gap in Kazakhstan by establishing educational institutions, particularly in the field of religious education. Additionally, the study explores how Süleymancılık is perceived in Kazakhstan, public opinions as portrayed in the media, and the image of this movement in the country. The relationships and disputes between the Süleymancılar and the Kazakhstan Muslims' Religious Administration (KMDB) are also a focal point of this study. The research evaluates how Süleymancılık has established itself in Kazakhstan, the challenges it has faced, and potential future developments. This study serves as a valuable reference for researchers interested in understanding Süleymancılık and those examining the religious and social dynamics of Kazakhstan.
