Research on the practice of classroom guidance of the teachers teaching at high schools

This research aims to determine practices of classroom consultancy of the teachers who work at high school managers according to the teachers? opinions.The research has been done with 274 state and private high schools teachers who work in Üsküdar area Asian side of Istanbul. The data which had been collected for research has been analyzed by SPSS packet program.In this research, for determining sufficiency of classroom counselling teachers of high schools; sufficiency of classroom counselling teachers were examined according to variables surch as teachers sex, age, branch, educational level in service, educational Professional seniority, and some other criteria.In this research the data has been collected by a scale questionnaire called ?practices of classroom consultancy of hice schools teachers.? The teachers were visited in their schools and the questionnaires were applied by face to face discussion, and some important points were explained to them. The questionnaire form consists of 24 questions.The ?practices of classroom consultancy of high school teachers? scale which was used in the research consists of four sub factors. The data was commented by doing percentage, t-test, Anova (mono directional variant analysis) and Scheffe test.As a result of the research, According to the ?practices of classroom consultancy ? scale; some meaningful differences were observed over the sufficiency of classroom councelling teachers who work at high schools? according to teachers? sex, age, branch, educational level, Professional seniority and inserviceeducation.
