Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to classify analogies in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade mathematics textbooks published by the Ministry of National Education and the private publishing firms. In addition to this aim, founded analogies are investigated deeply in terms of their relationship with mathematic concepts. Analyzes in this study are carried out by document analysis. Analogies are classified in terms of relationship between analogue and target, presentation format, situation in textbooks, task, level of wealth, and personal analogies.. As a result of the research, it was seen that most of the analogies are functional, pictorial, abstract-abstract analogies and simple. Furthermore, these analogies do not reflect correctly mathematical meaning of related concept.
