Abstract (EN)
The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between orthorexia nervosa, cognitive flexibility, emotion regulation difficulties and perceived parenting attitudes variables. The sample of the research consists of 304 participants (179 female and 125 male) whose ages ranged from 18 to 66. In the study, Personal Information Form, Young Parenting Scale, Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS), ORTO-11 Inventory and Cognitive Flexibility Inventory were used as data collection tools. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), independent samples t-test, Pearson correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were applied in the analysis of the data. The results of the regression analysis revealed that perceived normative parenting style of the mother and perceived restricted/emotionally inhibited parenting style of the father were significant predictors of orthorexia nervosa. The findings of the study were discussed within the relevant literature.
