Biological activities of some propolis samples collected from Osmaniye

Abstract (EN)
Three propolis samples were collected from different areas of Osmaniye. Polen diversity of the propolis samples were analyzed to determine the floral sources. Polen counts the ProA, ProB and ProC indicated the presence of 1417 pollens in 30 taxa, 476 pollensin 27 taxa and 1011 pollens in 27 taxa, respectively. ProA and ProC haven either dominant norsecondary pollens. Both samples had only minor and trace pollens. ProB had absence of dominant pollens; however it included Rubus sp. (Rosaceae) as the seconder group of taxa at 17,02%. In propolis samples, taxa such as Amaranthus sp, Ferula sp., Pimpinella anisum, Ceratonia siliqua, Spartium junceum, Aesculus hippocastanum, Rosmarinuss officinalis, Crataegus sp. and Vitex agnus-castus were determined. In the antimicrobial as says, ProA, ProB and ProC were more effective on gram positive bacteria and fungal species.
