RECOGNIZATION OF OTTOMAN TURKISH CHARACTERS BASED ONARTIFICAL NEURAL NETWORKS(M.Sc. Thesis)Davut ÖZHANGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHCNOLOGYDecember 2005ABSTRACTIn this thesis; an ANN (Artificial Neural Network) is designed and applied torecognize Ottoman Turkish Handwriting Characters. Application is written forseparated character samples. First; a document which is written based onOttoman Turkish Characters is scanned by scanner and get image of charactersthen applying image processing tecniques to get digital data. Normalizationprocess is applied for forming the data, and input-output values are obtainedfor ANN.
