Abstract (EN)

Career is a long-term process that continues with the chance or opportunities that arise in the beginning of the occupation that the person wants to work in. It is not always possible for the career to go in the expected direction, but it is also seen that the career progresses faster or slower than expected. Career planning is the most effective way to prevent such situations and to live this long process under control. The aim of this study is to examine the career planning objectives of the hotel staff in Istanbul and to find out what they are satisfied with in their career. In this study, career planning scale and career satisfaction scale were used to determine career planning by determining these different factors. The questionnaires prepared from these scales were applied to 402 hotel employees in Istanbul. Those who draw attention from the findings after the analysis show that the hotel employees move away from their personal characteristics and are not satisfied with their positions in terms of satisfaction with their careers.
