The examination of dance attitudes of parents who have children with autism spectrum disorder

The aim of this study is to examine of Dance Attitudes Parents Who Have Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). A sample of this study consist of parents living in different provinces and districts of Turkey whose children with ASD. In the collection of data, two information forms used for demographic datas as The Patents Information Form and Child Information Form. In the collection of data, two information forms used for demographic datas. These are The Parents Information Form and Child Information Form that developed by researcher. To measure of dance attitude, The Attitude Scale Towards Dance had used that developed by T. Ayyıldız Durhan in 2019. Research data was analyzed using IBM SPSS statistical program, T-test and Oneway Anova tests. Results have shown that the attitudes of parents with children with ASD towards dancing are generally positive. No significant difference in dance attitude scores of participants was found according to the demographic characteristics of the participants and the demographics of their children. But a significant difference in dance attitude was observed between participants with dance experience and participants without dance experience.
