Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT A high braking performanced hydraulic brake system design for cars and light-duty trucks was achieved. During the determination of the design procedure and the presumptions, braking regulations were considered in order to have the design procedure which covers the requirements of these regulations. Each presumptionn had been presumed by considering safety of the system. After determining the design procedure, in order to fit the procedure in application, two model vehicles had been choosed. Pre-determined design procedure was applied step by step by using the physical basic data of each vehicle. These basic data such as vehicle's weight, location of the center of gravity and distance between axles, vary vehicle to vehicle. The calculations that had been made according to these basic data, were conducted to achieve the best approach to the relative optimum braking forces curve. The approach of the calculation results to the optimum curve, were showed on graphics. The design procedure that had been developed in this research, contains dimensioning of critical brake system elements.
