Investigation of relation between acoustic properties and heat conduction in automotive interior trim materials

Acoustic and thermal comfort factors play an important role in today's customer automobile preferences. All automotive main and sub-industry manufacturers are aware of this and develop their investments in this direction. For this reason, insulator designers and manufacturers must be in continuous development. As a result of the widespread use of electric vehicles, expectations for acoustic and thermal comfort have been increased. Purpose of this studies, to obtain as experimentally sound transmission loss, sound absorption coefficient and thermal conductivity of insulation materials used in vehicles. Relation between acoustic and thermal effects will be investigated. The compared results will be included in the literature. In this way, this study will be an important input for thermal and acoustic studies in the automotive sector.
