Abstract (EN)

The increase in the world population, the development of people's working level and industrial activities. Emerging developments have begun to engage in activities aimed at regulating and reducing energy use. This study aims to save energy in compressed air compressors in automotive plant and aims to increase energy efficiency. In line with this study, measurements and examinations on the compressed air system of the Türk Tractor factory in Ankara, examining and analyzing the work of the compressed air compressors in the system, and in this context, an automation system design that will regulate the operation of the compressors and save energy has been revealed. The methodology applied within the scope of the study: Compressed air system components and determining its configuration; conducting business-side reviews; the scope of the project to be implemented; company-specific system design; performing demand-side reviews and calculations; reporting of conclusions and recommendations; and the savings economic analysis steps of the implemented project. Investigations during the operation of the current state of the system; By using an energy analyzer and flow meter, data were collected from the compressors in the operation and the energy consumptions specific to the compressors were calculated. On the other hand, the automation system compressors designed specifically for the enterprise have ensured maintenance savings by ensuring that they operate with equal aging and reduced the periodic control times of the operating personnel by transferring all critical data and fault alarms to the central SCADA system. With the implementation of the project, it has been observed that an energy saving of 8.3% has emerged in the annual energy consumption of the enterprise Keywords: Compressed air compressors, energy efficiency, automotive plant, energy saving measures, automation systems.
