A model proposal for the improvement of interior architecture internship within the framework of gamification

This thesis develops a model proposal based on improving the interior architecture internship through gamification. In the first part of the thesis, gamification models are examined. Accordingly, gamification models are classified as player, environment and target-centered. The results of using digital media in gamification applications, including basic gamification components, and tracking gamification goals are achieved. According to these assessments, a gamification model proposal for gamification construction has been developed. In the second part of the thesis, the interior architecture internship guidelines of universities in Turkey and TRNC are examined by document review method. At the same time, a qualitative study was conducted, the participants were students, academics and firms who received the meaning, goals, problems and solution suggestions of the internship. At the end of the department, a proposal was developed to improve the interior architecture internship. In the third part of the thesis, the relationship between the gamification model proposal and the interior architecture internship improvement proposal is evaluated by the method of creating research questions from methods for developing hypotheses. As a result, a model proposal called the "Online Internship System" was developed. The online internship system is a model proposal based on a practice-based internship that monitors the intern's experience in the internship environment in dijital, is open to cooperation between interns, and allows interns to improve and consolidate their internship goals.
