Analysis of employee and patient satisfaction in a private hospital

Private hospitals play an important role in the supply of public health services. The share of private hospitals in the healthcare sector is increasing day by day. Survey applications used for field research were analyzed using SPSS V. 22 program. Frequency, mean, variance, standard deviation, t test, one-way Anova test, Tukey test were applied. KMO test was used to measure the adequacy of the sample for analysis and the compatibility of the questions in the questionnaire. Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was used to test the reliability of the questionnaires. The aim of the study was to determine and analyze the factors affecting the satisfaction of patients receiving inpatient treatment in a private hospital and the factors affecting employee satisfaction. Taking into consideration the results of the analysis of the questionnaires, it was aimed to evaluate the effects of satisfaction levels of patients and employees and to reveal the effects of demographic characteristics of patients and hospital employees on satisfaction levels. Findings from the theoretical and practical evaluations are included in the conclusion section. While there was no difference in demographic data within the scope of patient satisfaction by testing the assumptions, a significant relationship was found between age, marital status, education level and working areas in terms of employee satisfaction. In hospitals with high levels of employee satisfaction, service quality is increasing and patient satisfaction has also increased. In the case of increased patient satisfaction, it was seen that the healthcare professionals serving the patients were also satisfied.
