Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water are examined as two distinct productions that showcase the application of special effects techniques through cinematic methods and the implementation of various features. The technological disparities between these two productions are also investigated within the scope of this study. The techniques and technological infrastructures employed in these films are comparatively analyzed, and the resulting visual outcomes are evaluated. This study presents a comprehensive examination of the evolution of special effects in cinematic history, with a particular focus on the Avatar films as prime examples of this evolution.
