Investigation of teachers' burnout level in primary and secondary schools in respect of some variables

Investigation of teachers' burnout level in primary and secondary schools in respect of some variablesThe research aims at determining whether the teachers? level of burnout in primary and secondary schools differs or not in respect of sex, marital status, branch, age, service period, lesson period, demands in choice of her profession, the respect of her profession in the society, reading daily articles about her profession , the suitability of the profession to herself,, the level of appreciation by her superiors and the main reason in performing her profession. The research is conducted on 368 teachers working in private schools in various districts of Ankara. In order to compare the burnout levels ?Maslach Burnout Inventory?, which is improved by Maslach & Jackson (1981) and adopted to Turkish by Ergin, has been used to identify the burnout levels. According to the research findings;While the burnout level of teachers in terms of emotional burnout because of sex and personal success level has not been found meaningful at the level of 0,05, the burnout level in terms of desensitization dimension has been found meaningful at the level of 0,05 The emotional burnout in respect of whether teachers find the profession suitable for themselves and the burnout level related to the personal success dimension have been found meaningful at the level of 0,05. The burnout level related to desensitization dimension has been found meaningful at the level of 0,05. The burnout level of emotional burnout dimension in respect of teachers? being appreciated by their superiors has been found meaningful at the level of 0.05. While the burnout level related to the personal success dimension has been found meaningful at the level of 0.05, the burnout level related to the desensitization dimension has been found meaningful at the level of 0.05. The other variables have not been found meaningful at the level of 0.05. All these findings obtained by the research have been argued and proposed in the lights of scientific resources.
