Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the decision-making skills included in the life skills section of the Science curriculum within the scope of specially gifted individuals. It is aimed to examine the decision-making skills of individuals with special abilities within the scope of life skills based on the achievements related to socio-scientific issues included in the science curriculum, to evaluate the teacher's opinions and suggestions on the applicability of the program and the difficulties encountered, and to develop new recommendations for the program. The research was designed using case study from qualitative research patterns. The area where the study was carried out is the Science and Art Centers located in Izmir. The desired goal to be achieved is to examine the achievements of specially talented individuals covering socio-scientific topics in the science curriculum prepared for specially talented individuals in relation to decision-making skills, which are examined under the heading of life skills. According to the findings obtained, when the subjects and achievements in the science curriculum of specially gifted individuals were examined, it was found that 21 subjects were related to SBK, 33 of the achievements in these subjects were related to decision-making skills, and while it was observed that these achievements exhibited an uneven distribution within the program, teachers believed that socio-scientific subjects positively affected decision-making
