Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to see the effect of self esteem and self efficacy on resiliency of parents who have gifted children. This is one examination of descriptive relation style was used. The participants were selected by simple random sampling methods. The participants consisted of a total of 200 parents whose children diagnosed "gifted children" by Başakşehir Rehberlik ve Araştırma Merkezi and Bahçelievler ITO Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi in 2015. The analyse data collected via three scales entitled "Yılmazlık Ölçeği" invented by Gürgan (2006); "Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale" invented by Rosenberg (1965) and "Ebeveyn Öz-Yeterlik Ölçeği" invented by Cavkaytar, Aksoy ve Ardıç (2014). SPSS 20.00 program used to analyse. Regression Analyse, Pearson Correlation Analyse, ANOVA analyse, Mann-Whitney U Test and Independent Samples T-Test performed to analzye the data. The results shows significant effects of self-esteem and self-efficacy on participants resiliency. A significantly possitive relationship seen on participants resiliency, self-esteem and self-efficacy. Results from this study revealed that, participants resiliency level did not vary according to age, marital status, working condition, income status and attending to school. Finally, resiliency levels of participants did vary according to gender groups.
