Abstract (EN)
In the scope of the study, it is aimed to investigate the effect of ozonation and process conditions on the performance properties of selected denim fabrics. For this purpose, 3 different ozonation times (10-20-30 minutes) and 4 different ozone rates (40% -60% -80% -100%) were applied to 4 different denim fabrics (weft with and without elastane, warp dyed with rope or slasher methods). In addition, fabrics that were subjected to rins washing and hydrogen peroxide bleaching processes were compared to see the effect of the pretreatment type applied before ozonation. In this context, 8 different processes were applied to 4 types of denim fabric and 32 different fabric samples were obtained. Then, the tensile strength, tear strength, seam strength, softness and spectrophotometric color analysis tests, which are important for the usage area, were applied to the obtained fabric samples. The results obtained were evaluated statistically and graphically. Generally; it has been observed that the ozonation process affects all the features handled. It has been determined that the increase in the ozone time and rate negatively affects the tensile and tear strength values, and has no significant effect on softness and seam strength. In addition, it was determined that rope and slasher dyed fabrics show different behaviors as a result of ozonation.
