Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, a modified electrode for the electrochemical determination of dopamine was designed by synthesizing palladium nanoparticles on glassy carbon (GC) using the cyclic voltammetry (CV) technique. The surface modification was carried out in 0.1 M HClO4 solution containing 2.5 mM PdCl2, and the characterization of the GC/Pd NP surface was carried out by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods. The size of Pd nanoparticles was found to be 0.1 µm (100 nm). The optimum conditions that can be used for the electrochemical determination of dopamine (DA) of the GC/Pd NP modified surface have been determined and the analytical performance of the surface has been demonstrated. The modified surface was found to have more electrocatalytic properties for the selective determination of DA compared to the GC electrode. The LOD and LOQ values for the determination of the DA on the GC/Pd NP surface were found to be 1.209 x10-6 M and 4.029 x10-6 M, respectively.
