Abstract (EN)
In this study, pre-treatment processes and machine conditions, which are applied for cotton woven fabrics, are specified after giving information about general properties of cotton fiber and treatment processes being applied to cotton fabrics as well as the related machines. And the physical tests applied accordingly with the processes are explained. Besides, information is given about the pre-treatment processes such as; singeing, causticising, caustic scouring and bleaching and also the machines which are used for these processes, where used. In the scope of this study, the woven fabrics selected in three different constructions are treated in accodance with eight different pre-treatment processes under normal plant conditions. At the end of the main process and at the end of the interior steps of the process, all of the fabric samples are tested aganist resisitance to shrinking, breaking (warp-weft), tearing (warp-weft), Martindale piling and grammage (weighting in gram, gr/m2) and width measurements of the fabric samples are performed. At the end sanforizing process friction tests, washing (with detergent) tests, and water fastness are applied to all of the fabric samples. All of the fabric samples are compred with the standard fabric sample by testing subsequent to sanforizing process and the result achieved are demonstrated on the analyses (as graphics and schedles
