Abstract (EN)

This thesis was conducted in order to determine the effects of conventionally used chemicals in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) such as pix, humic acid, seaweed, amino acid, atonic and leaf fertilizer on agronomic and technologic properties. Field experinents were performed in Aydın Adnan Menderes University Research and Application Farm during cotton production period of 2014. The field experiment was carried out as randomized compete block design with three replications. In the Research, plant height, seed cotton yield, number of monopodial branches, number of sympodial branches, ball number per plant, cotton weight per ball, earliness rate, ginning percentage, 100 seed weight, fibre fineness, fibre lenght, fiber strength and fibre maturity components are investigated. As a result while chemical applications affected seed cotton yield, plant height, cotton weight, per ball and earliness rate properties significantly the rest of the analysed parameters are not affected statistically significant. Also the highest seed cotton yield value obtained by the application of all chemicals. In particular, it was concluded that the use of growth inhibitor (pix) and application together with other leaf fertilizers and plant growth regulators would be beneficial in terms of cotton yield.
