Abstract (EN)

The research was carried out to determine the health perception of children and the differences in the health perception of children whose parents are and are not health workers during the pandemic. The research is a qualitative research type. Children between the ages of 8 and 12 were the working group of the research. The snowball sampling method was used to determine the children who make up the study group. The research was completed with 70 children. Data was collected using the introductory information form, a semi-completed interview form. Of the children, 55.7% were girls, 44.3% were boys and ages 10.31±1.53. Two-thirds (74.3%) of parents stated that children's health behavior had changed. It is found in the research that children's perceptions of health include perceptions such as ' protection from disease, nurses and doctors healing the patients, the most valuable/decadent thing". In pictures of children whose parents are health workers, hospital-related icons such as 'hospital, doctor or nurse, ambulance, hospital bed and chair, injector and stethoscope' were found to be more than the others. The pictures of the group, whose parent is a health worker, showed more themes related to the pandemic and the corona virus. Children's perceptions of health were found to be influenced by the pandemic and this influence was greater in those children whose parents were a health workers.
