Abstract (EN)
In this study, Design of Parabolic Solar Collector Project, the solar collector which has a electronic solar tracking system, a 430 stainless steel sheet, an Anodized-Bright Aluminum sheet reflector, a copper absorbing pipe and a pyrex pipe enclosing the absorbing pipe to minimize convection heat transfer, was manufactured and experiments were made on it. The system has got 1.68 m2 collector area. Due to density difference, the hot fluid flows through a 40 lt. tank that is assembled on the top of the system and cold fluid flows to collector from the bottom of the tank. Three different working fluids used (purified water, mixture of purified water with 50% volume concentration of Antifreeze (ethylene glycol), mixture of purified water with 20% mass concentration of NaCl (sodium chloride)) in the experiments. In July 2011, experiments were made for 18 days with the parabolic collector. In experiments, the times of increasing the temperature of the fluids from 30 0C to 50 0C were determined. Experimental results obtained and theoretical calculations are compared. Wind resistance of parabolic collector was analyzed on SolidWorks for Konya City?s average wind speed. Stress, strain and displacement graphics were drawn. Feasibility within the scope of rural development projects and data of agriculture and stockbreeding was made in the rural regions (Konya, Karaman, Nigde, Gaziantep, Sanlıurfa and Mardin) that are considered efficiently in terms of solar radiation and climatic conditions in Turkey for space heating.
