Abstract (EN)

Retailing is one of the most rapidly developing and changing sector in the world. With this development and changing trend, retailing companies tend to set up great chains by merging or purchasing activities. Chain stores have to manage human resource performance properly to operate efficiently and to be different than others in competition environment.Performance Management System gives the most effective outputs in a sincere and honest communication environment. Management requirements, tasks and aims must be explained to the personnel. The personnel must share their own ideas to get best performance results. The targets of the company must be the targets of the personnel and to achieve these targets, performance criteria and methods must be determined. And the performance of the personnel must be evaluated according to these criteria.Performance Management System is an opportunity for managers and employees to share important issues or expectations. The skills of employees in an organization are different. A correct performance evaluation must consider personal differences. One of the most important functions of human resources management is the evaluation of performances of employees. The aim of performance management system is to consider every aspect of a person, to award his successes and provide opportunities to eliminate his deficiencies.
