Abstract (EN)
It is known that with the changing fashion in the textile sector, textile products are produced in large proportions every year. In this sector where production is high, it can be observed that as production increases, raw material consumption, energy consumption, water consumption and the consumption of natural resources such as these increase in direct proportion. While textile products are produced, wastes are formed at every stage, and the reuse of these wastes contributes to sustainability under the name of recycling. In this context, it is very important for the textile industry to produce recycled fiber and to include recycled fiber in the content of the products. The customer base of acrylic, which is among the synthetic fibers, is quite high, it is in high demand especially in winter months due to its similarity to wool fiber. As another example of synthetic fibers, polyester fiber is among the preferred synthetic fibers such as acrylic due to the properties it exhibits. It is very important to recycle both synthetic fiber types and reintroduce them into the production line. In the study, it is aimed to emphasize the importance of sustainability and to emphasize the contribution of recycled fibers. In this study, 7.5 Nm samples were obtained with different combinations of recycled fibers and conventional fibers on core yarns, these samples were converted into knitted fabrics and the effects of the recycled fiber ratio used in the products on the quality of the samples were investigated.
