Abstract (EN)

In present study, the extraction of Cd was performed from simulated Ni/Cd batteries leach solution using polymer inclusion membrane containing triisooctyl amine (TIOA) as carrier. For this purpose, PVC based PIM's were prepared and characterised in aspect of thickness and surface morphology and molecular characterization using micrometer and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and ATR-FTIR respectively. The PIM properties were changed and tested to increase the effect of Cd transport from simulated Ni/Cd batteries leach solution. The membrane composition (the amount of PVC, plasticiser and extractant) was changed to produce PIM's having different physicochemical properties like as thicness, elasticity and extraction capacity. In the optimum conditions, we have determined the Cd separation from simulated Cd/Ni leach solution with high selectivity and inital mass tranfer coefficient and permeation coefficient have been obtained as 9,07x10-7 mol/m2s and 1,02x10-5 m/s
