Consultation processes in planning - Izmir-İnciralti

In urban planning, conventional approaches lose their worth, planning agency gets weak and enters the re-identification process in these times. It is possible to talk about many factors which play active roles in this process. Economic developments that occur in the world, strengthening of market economy, shaping of the political balances and many more elements reflect to the area of urban planning as a change and conversion factor. With all these changes and conversions, concept like ?negotiations- consultation?, ? participation? take place in urban planning and new designing approaches put forward called like ?negotiators planning?, ?communicate planning?, ?participatory planning?. At this study, the examination of the negotiation-consultation processes are being aimed at designing lives and this examination work is being made in Izmir-Incialti.Within this work, meetings which are made for the region of Izmir-Inciralti are expected as a part of the negotiation process and for the analysis of this process, application of new techniques to the planning problems have concerned. With this purpose, ?discourse analysis technique? which is being used at communicative and social sciences, is examined and after applying it to the process, associating with the other subjects of the planning discipline of resulting data and at the end of process, the plan (The Revision of The Landscaping Plan of Izmir-Inciralti Tourism Center) which appears as a final product, is targeted for considering in this context.
