Abstract (EN)

Studied area is located in the North-west of the Konya and North of Ilgın. In this study, coal element contents of pliocene units with organic facies characterictics in northern Ilgın and their environmental impacts are examined. To determine the character of organic metarials inside the coal-fired units in region were use in the drilling samples. It constitutes the basis of the study area Paleozoic- Mesozoic units. This lithological units on the content of the Miocene aged formations Çiğil conglomerate, limestone, sandstone, siltstone, tuff, marl, mudstone interbedded with the place where it is composed of thin lenticular interband lignite. There Dursunlu Miocene formation in accordance with the Miocene aged Çiğil formation. This unit is white, yellow, gray, green, red sandstone, siltstone, claystone, marl, mudstone and locally contains lignite levels. Place at the highest level, where sandy clay and mudstone formation is observed. In the samples taken from the formation Dursunlu total carbon (TOC) ranged from 0.03 to 53.36 %. Hydrogen index (HI) 0-707 mgHC/gTOC and Oxygen index (OI) 33-1367 mgCO2/gTOC have values in the range. Production index ( PI ) values range from 0.02 to 1. The obtained results according to the Pliocene Formation Dursunlu C, CD, D, is determined that the organic facieses sediments. The value reached by the element contents of the KI-26 and KI-30 drilling samples were examined. The values achieved compared by the world coal limit values in Swaine (1990), Ti values of the main elements and Cs, Rb, Ta, Th, As, Nb, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm values of the trace elements exceeds the world coal limit values has been determined. Due to the scarcity of human settlements in study area, high values of Cs, Ta, Th, La, As, Ce, Pr elements may have adverse effects on the environmental health of high value.
