Abstract (EN)
Music has become what it is today by going through many phases with the effects of cultural elements and social changes, since the very first moment of its birth. Similarly, the music in Turkey has also influenced by various cultures in its growth. It is important to note that especially state policies have had a remarkable effect on music, as well as cultural elements. This thesis study analyzes popular culture affected Turkish classical music programs broadcasted on TRT in the context of Jean Baudrillard's media theories. In this manner, the programs, which are shaped within the framework of the dynamics experienced in the historical process and are focused on Turkish classical music programs broadcasted on TRT since its establishment, are examined by using the method of content analysis.
