Abstract (EN)
Popular culture, which has easily reachable content to many people and containstemporary form, accelerates consumption with entertainment and affects social values.Youth is the most effected group in the society by popular culture in free time activitiesand consumption habits. The purpose of this study was to determine influence level ofpopular culture and influential factors on high school students at different general highschools in city center Eskişehir. Based on data gathered, relationships between socio-economic levels of youngsters? families and their television watching time with highschool youth?s adoptability of popular cultures values, consumptions habits and futurehopes was established.
