Abstract (EN)
In this study, current situation and environmental problems related to watershed of Porsuk Creek which is a tributary stream of the Sakarya River were evaluated. Porsuk Creek which flows south through Kütahya city and center through Eskişehir city is a disposelarea for the waste water resulted from urbanization and industrialization. The soil which is the most important source for crop production has been degraded because of the reasons such as erosion, misuses, industrialization and, urbanization. Both irrigated and dry farming areas in watershed were affected by water erosion. Beside, Porsuk Creek exposed flooding hazard for several times. In this study, solution suggestions have been tried to developed for environmental problems related to Porsuk Creek watershed and their effects by means of studies which were carried out for solutions to problems related to watershed (pollution, erosion, flooding, destroying vegetation cover etc.) through watershed management principles.
