The effect of positive psychological capital and empathic tendency on organizational behavior

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the level of positive psychological capital and the empathic tendency of the personnel of the central organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on their organizational behavior. The study group of this research consists of 288 participants, 187 (64.9%) women and 101 (35.1%) men, who are working in the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2022. As a data collection tool in the research; the personal information collection form and Positive Psychological Capital Scale Empathy Level Determination Scale, and Positive Organizational Behavior Scale were used. In the process of data analysis; In addition to descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test was used to compare dependent and independent variables according to gender and marital status variables, and the One-Way ANOVA test was used to compare according to education status, working status, and income perception variables. Pearson Correlation test was used to determine the relationship between the variables in the study and Multiple Regression Analysis was used to determine the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. Considering the results of the research, it can be stated that the positive psychological capital, empathic disposition, and organizational behavior levels of the participants are above average. In addition, it was determined that the empathy level of the participants differed statistically according to the variables of working status and income level, their positive psychological capital according to the marital status variable, and their organizational behavior according to the educational status variable. Finally, it was determined that the positive psychological capital and empathic tendencies of the participants predicted their organizational behavior at the level of 60.4%.
