Abstract (EN)

In this study, resistances of the composite pressure vessels under internal pressure wereinvestigated. Study deals with the influences of temperature and winding angle on filamentwoundcomposite pressure vessel with a plastic liner. An elastic solution procedure based onthe Lekhnitskii 's theory was developed in order to predict the first-ply failure of the pressurevessels. The analysis accounts for the failure pressure for various orientation angles underuniform temperature. The Tsai-Wu failure criterion was applied for the checking the first-plyfailure of layers in a simple form. In addition, the von-Mises criterion was used in order tofind the failure of the plastic liner. The solution was presented and discussed for variousorientation angles with or without failure of the plastic liner.The layers were oriented symmetrically and antisymmetrically for [30o/-30o]2, [45o/-45o]2,[55o/-55o]2, [60o/-60o]2, [75o/-75o]2 and [90o/-90o]2 orientations. The hygrothermal and othermechanical properties were measured on a epoxy-carbon composite layer. Some analyticalsolutions were compared with the finite element solutions, in which commercial softwareANSYS 9.0 was utilized, and close results were obtained between them. In the numericalsolutions the temperatures influence was found ineffective for the burst pressure. Theoptimum winding angle for the composite pressure vessel analysis with the internal pressureloading case was obtained as 54o for laminates and as 90o for a lamina.
