Sjögren syndrome is a multisystemic disease with manifestations of extraglandular disease including neurologic involvement. Most of the patients with Sjögren syndrome has symptoms of memory impairment and other cognitive complaints. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the cognitive functions of patients with primary Sjögren syndrome. Twenty patients diagnosed with Sjögren syndrome at the Internal Medicine-Rheumatology Clinic of Gazi University Faculty of Medicine and 20 age- and sex-matched healthy controls were included. None of our patients had any mood disorder. All of the patients had mild attention problem and 15 (75 %) of them had mild verbal learning and memory problems. These findings were compatible with current literature. However, the frequency of cognitive dysfunction in Primary Sjögren Syndrome was found higher than other studies.
