Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to design a learning environment supported by problem based learning method and obtain student opinions on this process. In this context, Database Management Systems course has been studied according to problem based learning method for two weeks. The study group takes place in Uludag University Faculty of Education at the Department of Teaching Computer and Instructional Technologies in the academic year of 2014-2015. Therefore, the study group of this study is composed of 25 participants in both sessions. In the research, the case study have been adopted as a qualitative research pattern. Data were gathered from students through structured observation and semi-structured interview forms. Descriptive analysis was applied to the data obtained from observations and interviews. According to the results of the analysis of the data, students are generally satisfied with problem-based learning practices and their views on the process are acceptable.
