Abstract (EN)

Aim: In laboratory tests; Hemolysis is one of the most common problems in laboratory medicine. Hemolysis is the breakdown of the membranes of red blood cells releasing the hemoglobin contained in them into the surrounding fluid (plasma or serum, depending on the type of blood collection tube). Hemolysis is in the form of plasma liquid, which turns from transparent to red due to the hemoglobin in it. In this study, it will be tried to explain whether PT, aPTT and Fibrinogen tests are affected in the hemolyzed sample. Method: Blood was collected from 30 healthy volunteers in citrate tubes. The collected blood was separated into 4 eppendorf tubes. No treatment was applied to the first tube. Hemolysis was formed in the other tubes by aspiration in certain numbers with a fine needle tip. Hemolysis indices of each of their tubes were measured first, then PT, aPTT and Fibrinogen tests were measured in the coagulation device. Threshold values were calculated for the hemolysis index. Results: The threshold value for hemolysis index in PT and fibrinogen tests was 1996, and the threshold value for aPTT was 405. Conclusion: These values we obtained were found to be higher than the values of the kit manufacturer for PT and fibrinogen, and close for aPTT.
