An investigation on the relationship among (Psychological) birth order generations and self-compassion

The main purpose of the present study is to investigate the relationship between real and psychological birth order which is assumed to affect self-development and self-compassion values with and without the impact of the generation structure of individual. Although these concepts have been studied indipendently in the related literature, their direct linkage was not investigated. The distinctiveness of the present study is to propose a research model that incorporates these concepts and test the linkage among them. In the context of the research methods, one and two way ANOVA and correlation analysis are conducted. Research findings indicate that there is a statistically significant relationship between real birth order and self-compassion. In addition, the impact of generation structure was not statistically significant. There is insignificant but negatif relationship existed between psycological birth order and self-compassion.
