Abstract (EN)
Purpose: The aim of this stıdy was to compare clinical examination and dissease activity with patellar and quadriceps tendons USG and SWE in detection of entheseal abnormalities in patients with PsA Materials and Methods: Thirty-three PsA patients underwent clinical, USG, SWE examination of the bilateral entheseal sites: quadriceps tendon at its insertion at the superior pole of the patella, patellar tendon at its proximal insertion at the inferior pole of patella. The information of the psoriasis skin lesions (according to the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index ), phsical examination findings, clinical examinations (such as gender, age, ESR, CRP levels), clinical course (the duration of life from the time of diagnosis, the final status, etc.), treatment (non steroidal antiflammatory agents, diseasemodifying antirheumatic drugs , biological agents etc.) used for determine disease activity. The relationship between clinical, ultrasonography and SWE data determined by statistically using SPSS.20. Results: There was any statistically significant difference demographic and clinical findings between quadriceps and patellar tendons USG or SWE measurement. Conclusion: SWE is a promising imaging modality that determines the severity of various muscle and skeletal disorders including tendon, muscle, nerve and ligament. In this study, we investigated the relationship between disease activity assessed by clinical and laboratory data in patients with psoriasis, B mode US and SWE findings of patellar and quadriceps tendon, however we did not find any significant correlation. Due to the limited number of patients and their diversity, there is a need for controlled prospective studies involving larger anatomical regions. Keywords: Psoriatic arthritis; enhthesitis; ultrasonography; shear-wave
