Radiological, histopathological and electrophoretical differentiation of radicular cyst and granulomas

The cellulose acetate paper electrophoresis metod was used for differential diagnosis of radicular cysts and granulomas. Fluids were aspirated from the periapical lesions of the teeth with radiographic evidence of periapical pathosis via root canal. Blood was withdrawn from the venna brachialis. Specimens were examined by cellulose asetat paper electrophoresis method. The root canals were obturated with gutta-percha and sealer. Periapical lesions were removed by surgical techniques and examined by histopathological method. The histopathologic diagnosis were achieved then compared with the electrophoretic results.
