Design of medical management of cbrn injured persons at mersin city training and research hospital within the scope of radiation emergency management

The general purpose of this research is to design emergency service medical management as a result of determining the knowledge and skills of emergency service personnel of Mersin City Training and Research Hospital in case of any possible radiation emergency in Mersin within the framework of URAP (National Radiation Emergency Plan). The sample of the study consists of 131 emergency service personnel in Mersin City Training and Research Hospital. The sample group consists of emergency medicine specialists, general practitioners, nurses/health officers, paramedics/ATTs, radiology technicians, and laboratory technicians. The findings were obtained using the SPSS 22.0 package program, and frequency, percentage, reliability analysis, mean, chi-square test, independent sample t-test, exploratory factor analysis, one-way ANOVA test, and correlation analysis wereemployed. The p<0.05 value was used for statistical significance. According to the analysisof the data, those who state that there is a potential for radiation hazards also see thesehazards as an important risk for health personnel. It is seen that there is a high rate ofradiological/nuclear hazards in the province where it is located. It is seen that the rate ofthose who do not have information about URAP is high, with 92 participants at the rate of70%. It has been seen that the Hospital Disaster Plan is the most well-known plan type. In line with these data, the 'Preparation and Control Form for Designing the Medical Management of CBRN Wounded in the Scope of Radiation Emergency Management' was prepared. It is considered that this form will guide health institutions and organizations in the preparation and response phase of radiation emergency management.
