Abstract (EN)
Education has tun parts: Firstly, the attainment Df knowledge or informa tion, and secondly its practical use. This concept also holds true in the medium of television. In Turkey, there are many universities that can teach this medium. However, university graduates not possessing the ability to, practically, apply knowledge will soon find that their skills are indeed, limited once in a real world situation. One university, Anadolu University in Eskişehir, has obtained the latest in technology, in order to allow its students the best, there is in the theory and practice of television. This facility will also permit the students tD remain on campus for their practicum, instead of serving an apprenticeship else where. When the students leave, they will know the value of using standarts, professional equipment, the same equipment used in some of the largest television studios around the world. In order to have a studio, three things are necessary; 'Overal conception,' 'Design and Construction'. The first one is related almost entirely to desire, and the latter two must work hand in hand. In the design stage, the studio location is crucial. Certainly, no air ports or highways can be nearby. Architectural planning is also necessary. The building shape (octagonal, hexagonal, circular, etc.), size (one or two floors, 40m2, etc.) and materials to be used (wood, cinder block or stone, etc.) must also be assessed. Once this has been established, the location of the studio, offices, technical area and rooms within the building must also be planned. Intenal, person to person communications, networks such as the telephone or mtecom and secretarial systems will also need to be laid out. Isolation from all external sound must be achieved. Also, electrical, heating and ventilation, air conditioning, security, and Internalcommunications network (ie. control room to camera) must be planned. The lighting grid needs attention as do the studio acoustics. Next is the design or technical areas, and the facilities in the equip ment rooms and their placement within the rooms. There are many important points in this installation process that can not be missed. During this process, inevitabli problems will arise and must be dealt with, but with good planning most, can be predicted. After electrical and electronical equipment has been chosen and purohasei there are three divisions of television that must be considered. They are visual, lighting, and sound mediums. In the aspect of equipment for vi suals are cameras, video tape recorders, video editing system, and vision mixers, film transfer units, digital video effects, character generators, and digital painting and drawing system, to mention a feu. Of course to keep the value and use of this equipment, other maintenance equipment is also necessary. In the area of lighting for television, there are also important considerations. The types of lights, suspension system, portability, and inten sity control units, and the type of usage are also important to plan. For the sound system, specific equipment is also needed. Mixers, recor ders, editing system, effects generators and overall studio ability must be preconsumed. Finally, the inter communications nextwork should be drawn up. Once the studio is installed, test must be performed, operators and technicians must be trained by the installers, employers to fill such positions as producer, director, production manager etc. must be chosen, as well as students to fill operator and other positions that are in accordance with their curricula. To conclude, the scholastic education of television, there are three points be practically applied. Firstly, entire programs must be developed by the students. Secondly, they must further the educational growth capacity of the university. And finally, students must advertise and sell their programs to be aired locally, with the incoming money going toward the betterment of all production facilities.
