Abstract (EN)

The usage of traction rail systems in the city and intercity is increasing dramatically due to its high efficiency, fast and effective solution capacity. The importance of simulation programs is also getting more crucial day by day, as the effect of the currently planned railway systems on interconnected infrastructure is being surveyed. Because of the specific electrical equipment and the dynamic load profile, the simulation of the railway systems electrification modelling efforts is different in comparison to the conventional energy distribution system modelling. In this study, with the information about the railway electrification systems, the methodology that is followed during the modelling of the traction systems with the simulation program ETAP is explained and the software modelling of a middle voltage electrification system of a railway system that is under operation and the analysis of the energy supplication scenarios is completed. With the help of the model that is created, the risky situations such as the failure of the TEIAS 154 / 34,5 kV substation, the supplication of energy from the secondary substation or substations is simulated and the convenience of the electrification system is analysed. An ETAP railway system model that can be applied to simulation of all railway systems is obtained as a result of this thesis study.
