Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, a single phase pulse width modulated (PWM) rectifier with instantaneous reactive power theory for single phase case, which is a commonly used method for three-phase networks, is designed and simulated for reactive power compensation. Direct and indirect control techniques of single phase instantaneous reactive power theory (p-q theory) are simulated with linear and nonlinear loads.A model of the system is developed in MATLAB / Simulink software and the performance of hysteresis current controller is analyzed. Simulations are carried out in MATLAB / Simulink. The Simulink block diagrams are converted from MATLAB into TMS320F2812 eZdsp. The Matlab Simulink simulations and DSP based simulations are compared. The system is implemented in Electrical Machinery Laboratory.
