Abstract (EN)

With the development of technology, even complex projects can be easily produced every passing day. Today's construction sector performs its work more easily and effortlessly with different software and technological products every passing day. With the emergence of Building Information Modeling and the development of various applications in this sector every passing day, digital models of complex structures can be easily created. With the new generation measurement devices developed, the documentation and project design processes of historical structures have also started to be carried out with BIM-based software over time. This situation has brought the idea of obtaining the conservation and restoration processes of historical structures with the BIM understanding, and a new concept with its own standards and workflow diagram has emerged. This new concept that has emerged is called Historical Building Information Modeling. With HBIM, the documentation processes of structures have started to be carried out faster and with fewer errors compared to traditional methods. Thanks to the HBIM model created, the technical analyzes and life cycle of the structure have become more predictable and the historical document data of the structures have started to be stored more securely. The aim of this thesis is to determine the usage status of the HBIM concept in Turkey and to develop suggestions to increase its usability in the construction sector with the Technology Acceptance Model (TKM). The Technology Acceptance Models developed in previous studies were examined and the results they obtained and the variables they used were evaluated. The most suitable external variables for the HBIM method were added to the model. A survey study was conducted to test the developed model and the results were statistically analyzed. As a result of the obtained data, suggestions were presented for the widespread use of HBIM in our country.
