Abstract (EN)

Rhodiapolis, which is a member of the Lycian Union, is named after it was established in the Rhodos colonization. Rhodiapolis is located on the eastern border of Lycia on the border of Sarıcasu Village, Kumluca District of Antalya. The earliest known remains in the city are the Roman to Byzantine periods, while the other remains visible during the Classical Age rock tombs. The purpose of this study is; The agora and the stoas of the settlement that was established under difficult terrain conditions and to learn about the agora and stoas in the region of Lycia. The most important feature distinguishing Rhodiapolis from other settlements is urbanism. It has been shaped according to topographic conditions on a very sloping land and a successful urbanization has been applied. The terrain is skillfully used, and the small terraces that make up the structures are designed together. There are three stoas and one agora in Rhodiapolis. The Rhodiapolis agora is narrower in the north due to the city's location and terraced structure, unlike the other agoras, further widening in the south. Four cisterns were placed in the Agora infrastructure, resulting in a large terrace and a two-storey stoa was built here to form an agora. In the middle of the stoa, it is understood that there is a two-storey stoa from the incituated blocks. According to these remains, the columns of the dyed pillars sitting on the styrofoam bed, the plain 3 armed architrave on them, the equally spaced postaments on the top of the columns, the pillars of İon column and the structure of the two-storey stoan are completed. It is understood that the floor is completely mosaic-laid. The eastern side of the Stoan, the three sitting rows of the exedra reached the daylight. Another stoa, the Opramoas Stoa, is designed for the Opramaos Monument, behind the stage building of the theater. The front side of the stoan is the second floor of the two-storey agora stoa. The sidewalk extends from the southern corner of the Opramoas terrace to the western corner of the theater and merges with the analemma wall. There are 8 niches along the stoa wall in very non-standard sizes. The finds suggest that it has an Attic-İon style column-shaped and inclined roof. Although the stoa floor looks like compressed soil, it is expected that the floor of this stoa will also be mosaic, as other stoas have mosaic floor. The third stoa is the Asklepieion-Hadrianeum front stoa. The stoa, which is designed parallel to the street and which is supposed to be obscured by roofing tiles, goes to an entrance of Asklepieion due to the topography rising from east to west with a three-step podium with an arched entrance, turning into a stepped structure due to inclination and then ending with a stairway. The soffit architrave blocks, the frieze blocks and the blocks of geison and cymen are decorated with column ceilings on the column headers. Mosaic remains were detected on the floor. In addition to taking the agora and stoas of the city into consideration in this study, the drawings and restitution projects of the city were prepared in computer environment and the restoration suggestions were made and the ground for the future arrangement, repair and ongoing excavation work was prepared. Survey studies, drawings of drawings, material analysis as well as material and structure problems have been discussed. The restitution project was based on typological studies with other buildings with similar function and plan schemes. While the restoration (protection-repair) proposal is being prepared, intervention principles have been determined to solve the protection and usage problems of the structures. It is intended to protect and display not only the original state of the structures, but all the phases that they have had over time. Archeological evidence has not been verified, no documents and information is not based on the completion of sections have been avoided, not recommended to complete all of the structures. Reconstruction of existing trails and taking measures to ensure that the life of the building is maintained in good health is given as a restoration proposal.
