Abstract (EN)

The right of liberty and security, which takes place in European Convention on Human Rights, has been explained under the title of "protection measures" in Turkish positive law. Purpose of this study that the regulations about protecting the right of freedom and security are compatible with or not European Convention on Human Rights, how well it is understood in National Law. Also, it is discussed that how the right of liberty and security is handled in regulations and practices in Turkish positive law by examining the judgements of the European Court of Human Rights and higher judicial bodies. Moreover, in this thesis it is mentioned as the time occasion arises that some alterations which should be made the protection measures in Turkish law more compatible with European Convention on Human Rights.
