Abstract (EN)

With the entry into force of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 in our country, it is obliged to carry out risk assessments at regular intervals for all public and private workplaces regardless of danger class. The purpose of this legal regulation; to identify existing hazards in the workplace and the risks that may arise from these hazards and to develop solutions to eliminate these risks, to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases in the workplaces, and to ensure the continuity of the measures to be taken. For this reason, it is of utmost importance that the risk assessments to be made in the workplaces are carried out by using the correct analysis methods appropriate for the purpose. It will not be possible to prevent occupational accidents and diseases from the risk assessment to be carried out with an incorrect risk analysis. One of the most important steps to be taken in order to achieve the purpose of risk assessment studies is the choice of method. The importance of the risks should be determined and the prioritization of the measures to be taken should be made in accordance with this value. Within the scope of the thesis, two different risk priorities were obtained for the same source of danger by using two different risk analysis methods in a research laboratory where chemical substances were studied. The results were analyzed and compared using the statistical method. As a result of statistical analysis, it was determined that the two methods could not be alternative and there was no significant agreement between them. It is stated that the effectiveness of the risk control measures to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases will be more effective than the Fine-Kinney risk analysis method for the workplaces in the dangerous and very dangerous class.
