Abstract (EN)
The current study was aimed to isolation and identification of Staphylococcus aureus, and test the sensitivity of the isolates to antibiotics and detection genes mecA and virulence factors genes etb and eta and determination of their aggregates in methicillin sensitive and resistant isolates using PCR. Clinical samples were collected from Kirkuk Hospital in Kirkuk city for the period March-jone 2022 from patients who were admitted and hospitalized. Wound, urine burns swabs were taken from patients with wound infections ranging in age from 1-60 years of both gender using sterile cotton swabs and from different parts of the body, after which they implanted on the culture media. Of the 45 Isolation in this research, 25 (55%) were female and 20 (45%) were male. The age range of the patients was 1 to 60 years, with the age group of 21-30 years having the highest number of cases, and 41 to 50 years having the lowest age range for infection. Susceptibility tests for 10 antibiotics were done for all bacterial isolates, where it was found that the most sensitive drug for bacteria is amikacin at a rate of 25%, while the most resistant drug by bacteria is erythromycin at a rate of 45%. We determined the prevalence of mecA gene and exfoliative toxin genes Eta and Etb among 45 clinical isolates of S. aureus, the results showed that Of the 45 isolates, 45 (100%), 19 (42.2%%),19 (42.2%) , mec A, eta and etb genes respectively.
