Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted with adult individuals in romantic relationships to determine whether irrational beliefs have a mediating role in the relationship between social media jealousy and perceived relationship quality in romantic relationships. The research was conducted with 447 individuals over the age of 18 who were in romantic relationships. To analyze the data obtained from the research, a normality test was first performed and it was determined that the data was normally distributed. Independent Sample T-Test and One-Way ANOVA Test were used to determine whether there were significant differences according to sociodemographic variables, Pearson Correlation analysis to determine the relationship between variables, and Process Mediator Role analysis to determine the mediating role. As a result of the research, it was seen that there were significant differences in terms of sociodemographic variables. As a result of the correlation analysis, social media jealousy increases in weak difficulty as the perceived romantic relationship quality increases, and in medium difficulty as irrational beliefs increase. With the mediating role analysis, it was seen that irrational beliefs had a full mediating role in the relationship between social media jealousy and perceived relationship quality in romantic relationships.
